What Phavai does

Phavai uses AI-assisted research to organize a curated set of expert reviews, product-specific videos, owner discussions, and official product details before you start comparing tabs. It surfaces recurring praise, complaints, and disagreements; a human editor checks the evidence and owns the final recommendation.

Phavai guides are evidence syntheses, not claims that we personally tested every product. If Phavai ever performs original hands-on testing or measurements, the guide will say exactly what was tested, by whom, and how.

The goal is not to make every decision automatic. The goal is to remove enough noise that a shopper can make a confident call without feeling pushed.

Ben's professional background includes Outside Media, Trail Runner Magazine, and UltraSignup. He has run the UTMB 100-mile race and has been climbing since age 15.

For running and outdoor guides, Ben checks source-to-product matches, challenges conflicting claims, applies practical trail and endurance context, and approves the final recommendation. AI helps organize the research; Ben remains accountable for what gets published.

Scope matters: Ben's outdoor background supports Phavai's running and outdoor coverage. Broader consumer guides are human-reviewed, but Phavai does not present that outdoor experience as category expertise in unrelated products.
